5 slain in gun attacks
MANILA, Philippines - Police are investigating the motives for gun attacks that killed five persons on Monday.
Rodante Agramon, 46, former councilman of Barangay Dolores in Quirino, Isabela, was driving his motorcycle on his way home when unidentified men fired at him at around 10 p.m.
Agramon is not on the list of drug personalities in Quirino, but has a pending case for frustrated murder filed by his relative at the Roxas Regional Trial Court.
Marcial Cerezo and Romel Baraguel, 17, were shot in Barangay Bañag, Daraga, Albay and Tugas, Matnog, Sorsogon, respectively.
Adonis Penales, 45, was sitting in front of an eatery in Barangay Poblacion IV in Indang, Cavite when a certain Pelagio Sumagaysay Jr., 49, allegedly shot him. Penales was pronounced dead on arrival at the MV Santiago Hospital.
Henerosa Francisco, 56, was washing clothes in Asisig river in Barangay San Antonio, San Enrique, Iloilo when a man appeared from behind and opened fire.
