Ex-telecom employee nabbed for estafa

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Police have arrested a 29-year-old former employee of a telecommunications company who was wanted for estafa cases filed in three courts in San Fernando City, La Union.

Rainier Mon Frio failed to post P390,000 bail set by the courts for 10 counts of estafa, according to city police chief Superintendent Julius Suriben.

Frio was arrested over the weekend at his residence in Barangay Lingsat. He allegedly failed to remit his collections amounting to almost P1 million to his employer.
