Quakes rock Zambales, Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines - Three mild quakes rocked Zambales and Mindanao yesterday morning, state seismologists said.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said a magnitude- 3.5 quake occurred at 5:10 a.m., some 15 kilometers southeast of Iba, Zambales.

Meanwhile, two earthquakes were recorded in Mindanao.

The first quake, measuring magnitude-2.7, occurred nine kilometers southeast of Burgos town in Surigao del Norte at 7:23 a.m.

Four hours later, a magnitude-3 quake occurred some 73 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos in Davao Occidental at 11:37 a.m.
