House collapses; 10 hurt

LAGUNA, Philippines  – Ten persons were injured when a house collapsed during a fiesta in Liliw town here yesterday.

The victims, mostly visitors of Teresita Articona, 65, of Barangay Rizal, were rushed to a local medical facility and a hospital in nearby Sta. Cruz town for treatment.

Two of the victims suffered shoulder fractures.

Reports said the victims were gathered on the first floor when the second floor collapsed at around 11:45 a.m., said Inspector Roselle Orate, spokesperson for the Laguna police office.

Orate said the town was celebrating the feast of Saint Joseph.
