Quarrel over TV channel leaves man dead

MANGALDAN, Pangasinan, Philippines – A quarrel over which television channel to watch resulted in the death of a man and the wounding of another here Monday.

Joel Pimentel died from a stab wound in the  chest while Desirio de Vera  was rushed to the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City for treatment.

Initial investigation showed Pimentel and De Vera were having a drinking session while watching a television show at victim’s house.

De Vera reportedly wanted to switch channels but Pimentel refused, prompting the suspect to pull out a bladedweapon.

The two scuffled for the knife, which resulted in the killing of Pimentel and wounding of De Vera.
