2 Chinese yield P25-M worth shabu in QC drug bust

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested two Chinese during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City Sunday night, seizing around P25 million worth of illegal drugs.

 

A radio report said that operatives of the Quezon City Police District - Anti Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group nabbed Benedict Ong and Benson Lao during the sting operation on Regalado Avenue, North Fairview.

 

The report said the two agreed to meet with a poseur-buyer, who was supposed to get P1.5 million worth of shabu from the suspects.

 

Authorities seized around five kilos of shabu from the suspect's vehicle, the report added.

 

The two foreigners are now detained at the QCPD headquarters in Camp Karingal.
