Former Antipolo mayor ordered to return P1.78-M in overpriced project
MANILA, Philippines - The Commission on Audit (COA) ordered former Antipolo City Mayor Danilo Leyble to return P1.78 million in disallowance over a constructed building in San Isidro, Antipolo City.
COA cited as respondents Leyble, ity engineer Julian Marigondon, city planning and development coordinator Renato Matienzo, project engineer Mando Bautista, and infrastructure division head Rommel Daquioag and PST Construction owner Procopio Torres, Jr. in its notice of finality decision for the disallowance.
COA gave the final notice after the audit agency's technical audit team found excessive quantity and cost in the works for the building.
Leyble is also facing graft charges before the Ombudsman over a controversy involving the construction of the Victory Mall in Antipolo City.
