Movie producer dead in mishap

MALASIQUI, Pangasinan, Philippines – A movie producer was killed while 19 others were injured in a three-vehicle smashup in Barangay Gomez here on Tuesday morning, police said.

The fatality was identified as Antonio Veloria, 60, who ran an accounting firm in Manila and was the executive producer of “Batang West Side” that starred Joel Torre, Yul Servo, and Gloria Diaz.

The smashup involved a Five Star bus, Nissan Frontier pick-up, and a motorcycle. Veloria was among the bus passengers.
