Coloma apologizes for cop escorts

MANILA, Philippines - Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Sonny Coloma yesterday apologized to former newsman Armand Nocum for the stress and anxiety caused  by members of the San Mateo police who escorted him on his way to a speaking engagement Friday night.

“I just learned that the two motorcycle escorts provided to me by the San Mateo police had caused another vehicle to swerve which upset and discomforted the occupants of the vehicle, Mr. Armand Nocum, his wife and their infant child.

“I extend my sincerest apology to Mr. Nocum. I have requested the San Mateo police department to require the two policemen who served as my escorts to render an account of this incident so that proper remedial measures may be adopted,” Coloma said.
