Pampanga now free of insurgency

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga ,Philippines  – The Armed Forces has declared Pampanga insurgency-free.

Col. Gregorio Catapang, commander of the Army’s 703rd Infantry Brigade, announced this during a meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council last Thursday.

Catapang attributed this to the significant gains of the AFP, particularly the 703rd IB, on the insurgency problem.

“It is a positive label which could enhance the economic potential and growth of the province and boost investors’ confidence. The people of Central and Northern Luzon are on the right path of harnessing the potential of the region,” he said.
