CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga City Mayor and Congressman-elect Rey Aquino said he fully supports the citys public school teachers who were accused of being involved in fraud in the May 10 polls.
"I will support them all the way to clear their names of the unfounded accusations hurled against them," he said.
"If our teachers are brought to court, we will give them all the support they deserve to prove their detractors wrong and to show the nation that they did not commit any fraud or anomaly in the course of performing their thankless job," he added.
Aquino said the accusations were not only without basis but were highly unfair to the teachers who put their lives on the line to ensure peaceful, orderly and honest elections.
Aquino won over his two rivals in Pampangas third district congressional race by over 30,000 votes.
