Transmitter bombed

MASBATE CITY — A homemade bomb exploded inside the compound of Globe Telecom here Thursday night, destroying the telecommunications equipment of its sister-company Islacom Phils., police said.

Chief Superintendent Rodolfo Tor, Bicol police director, said the blast, which occurred at about 9:30 p.m., destroyed the transmitter and receiver housed in a van at the Globe Telecom compound in Sitio San Roque in Barangay Nursery here. – Celso Amo
