'Multwoh' opens at Ayala Cinemas nationwide

MANILA, Philippines — The award-winning Puregold CinePanalo film “Multwoh (Patay na Patay Sa’yo)” opened at 13 Ayala Cinemas branches nationwide beginning Wednesday, October 21.
Directed by Rodina Singh, the film blends queer romance, comedy, and supernatural elements in a story about love, grief and remembrance.
The nationwide release will bring the film to Glorietta, TriNoma, Market! Market!, Fairview Terraces, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Ayala Malls Circuit, Ayala Malls Feliz, Ayala Malls Cloverleaf, Ayala Malls Marquee, Ayala Malls Harbor Point, Ayala Malls Center Cebu, Ayala Malls Centrio, and Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod.
“Multwoh” follows Marcel (Sassa Gurl), a college student who returns as a ghost after dying before confessing her feelings to her best friend, Miguel (Joao Constancia). As Marcel attempts to settle her unfinished business, she encounters a colorful cast of characters in a story that explores queer love and the connections people leave behind.
The film features an ensemble cast of established film and television personalities, digital creators, and drag performers, including John Lapus, Iyah Mina, Phi Palmos, Mae Paner, Buboy Villar, KaladKaren, Pipay, AC Soriano, Chino Liu, Pura Luka Vega and Tiny Deluxe.
Singh said she wanted to tell a queer story that balances humor and romance with deeper emotional themes.
“Queer stories don’t have to be tragic to be taken seriously. And they don’t have to be serious to matter,” she said.
The director added that the film celebrates queer lives through the love, friendships, humor, and joy people share with others.
At the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, “Multwoh” won four awards: Panalo sa mga Manonood (Audience Award), Panalo sa Production Design, Panalo sa Brand Intrusion and Puregold Always Panalo.
Tickets are priced at P250, with a discounted rate of P200 for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Advance tickets are available online.
