MIAA chief orders more chairs for NAIA-3

MANILA, Philippines - Manila International Airport Authority general manager Ed Monreal has ordered more gang chairs installed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA-3) after seeing passengers seated on the floor or on their trolleys.

“I was ashamed to see passengers slumping on the floor in every corner of the departure lobby of the NAIA-3 while waiting for their flight… They are paying terminal fees, indeed they deserve the best service and facilities,” he said yesterday as he instructed NAIA-3 manager Ric Medalla to put up more gang chairs.

Medalla said additional gang chairs had been placed in the departure lobby and that they are doing their best to render excellent service.

“We really want our passengers to feel and see that the change is really happening by providing facilities where they could conveniently wait for their flights,” he said.

Monreal also instructed managers of NAIA Terminals 1 and 2 to install more gang chairs.
