Reinir Padua - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Police have launched a manhunt for a housemaid accused of stealing her employer’s diamond ring worth more than P2 million while the victim was on vacation.

Analiza Berbo was nowhere to be found when businesswoman Edith Azarcon Crisostomo, 71, and her family arrived home on April 14, said Chief Inspector Rodel Marcelo of the Quezon City Police District.

Crisostomo and her family went on vacation in Tagaytay on April 13.

She said she lost a diamond ring amounting to P2 million and foreign currencies worth around P45,000 to the suspect. Berbo, who remains at large, is facing charges for qualified theft.
