Thief caught at Pasay hotel

MANILA, Philippines - A suspected member of a theft gang targeting foreign tourists and balikbayans in posh hotels was arrested for possessing bullets at a hotel in Pasay City Monday, an official said yesterday.

A security officer who frisked Robert Madaya when he tried to enter the Resorts World Hotel found two 9mm bullets on his person, Southern Police District director Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte said.

Madaya was later identified as the man who allegedly stole from a hotel guest in November last year, he added.
