“Robbers” arrested
CEBU, Philippines - Two men and a juvenile were arrested Thursday evening after robbing a couple in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City
Arrested were Gino Canabe, 20, of Panagdait, Cebu City, Johnny Sumalinog, 19, of Sitio Riverside, barangay Subangdaku, and a 16-year-old.
PO1 Ferdelo Quezon of the Subangdaku Police station said the three robbers were arrested after divesting Walter Abraham Andrada of his shoulder bag.
Andrada and his girlfriend were walking along Lopez Jaena Street in barangay Subangdaku at around 10 that night when the robbers blocked their path and announced a holdup.
The police found the robbers in sitio Riverside in Subangdaku.
Quezon said the three suspects may have been involved in a series of highway robberies in Subangdaku as their physical appearance corresponds to the descriptions given by victims and witnesses.
The boy and the two men are currently detained at the Subangdaku police detention cell pending the filing of robbery cases against them. (FREEMAN)
