Capitol, town meet to address issues on recla project

CEBU, Philippines - Governor Gwen Garcia and members of the Cebu provincial board met the other day with the municipal officials of Consolacion to address issues regarding the implementation of the 21-hectare reclamation project.

Consolacion town Mayor Teresa Alegado explained it was not her administration's intention to bypass the provincial board and the Cebu Provincial Reclamation Authority with regard the project.

The mayor said the municipal government is willing to coordinate with the Cebu provincial officials based on the ordinance creating the Cebu Provincial Reclamation Authority.

She said her administration is reviewing the project and has cited its lack of documents.
