Araneta holds magical Christmas parade

MANILA, Philippines - Witness a Christmas spectacle like no other at the Araneta Center this Sunday, starting at 5 p.m.

Fire-eaters, stilt-walkers, street performers, and poi dancers will join the Philippine Navy Drum and Buggle and Brass Bands, the UP Singing Ambassadors, and the most breathtaking floats from the University of the Philippines, the Binibining Pilipinas, and the most-anticipated of all, Disney On Ice, as they parade around the country’s premier lifestyle and entertainment hub.

Marvel at the angelic voices of the choir as it serenades spectators with Christmas carols and enjoy the spectacular fireworks display that will cap the festivities.

Wave “Hi!” to Mickey and Minnie Mouse on board their colorful, Disney-themed float. Get your pictures taken with Santa Claus, the “higantes” and “higantitos,” vibrantly costumed Christmas characters, and the Three Kings.

What better way to cap a full day of Christmas shopping than to take part in Araneta Center’s Christmas Parade of Lights and take home a treasure trove of magical memories.

The parade, held in cooperation with San Miguel Corp., starts at the Giant Christmas Tree.
