Best Of The Week: A 'holy' reconciliation amid Twitter wars

Middle Finger Of The Week: Justin Bieber

What’s up with teen stars these days? Some shoplift, others do salvia. One fine example is the sensational Justin Bieber. Celebrating his 17th birthday (Uyyyy! Daisy Siete!) with girlfriend Selena Gomez at a restaurant in LA, Bieber found himself swarmed by paparazzi after having dinner and thanksgiving prayers, clearly pissing him off. After making their way to the car (with Selena Gomez rumored to have been punched as the price she pays for being his girlfriend), the Biebs raises his right hand and threw the universal gesture for “f*ck off,” to the delight of the cameras. He later apologized on Twitter, and we understand. We know, Justin. It’s hormones.

Other, Other Catfight Of The Week: Angelica Panganiban Versus Fan

We can actually call this a dog fight. Angelica Panganiban is at war again, and this time, she could be wearing Gretchen Barretto’s red stilettos to court. She’s confirmed she will be pressing charges against a certain @anilmorales, a diehard Azkals fan who attacked Angelica on Twitter with a series of hateful tweets last week. Miss Morales, apparently irked by the actress’ tweets lamenting the showbiz forays of football striker Phil Younghusband, fired back a multitude of tweets against Angelica. “Lahat na lang artista na,” Angelica tweeted, and Morales replied with tweets that are inappropriate for print. The actress later clarified that she is not against Younghusband’s showbiz career, but instead just wants him to focus on football first. As of press time, Angelica is already consulting her lawyers while Morales’ Twitter account has been deleted.

Other Catfight Of The Week: 50 Cent Badmouths The Pacman

Well, it’s not actually new. Back in November, 50 Cent already tweeted that his pal Floyd Mayweather Jr “will beat the sh*t out of Pacman.” So this series of new tweets? We’re sure @CongMP will just shrug them off. Airing his 50 cents’ worth, the rapper addressed Pacman as “Steroid Pacquiao” and compared him to Charlie Sheen. “If Charlie Scheen can take a test I know Manny Pacquiao punk ass could take a blood test,” he posted. 50 Cent, hated by parents for his lewd tweeting and irreverence, has more than four million followers.

The Pacman has chosen not to react to the statements, but Mrs. Dionisia Pacquiao, excited to practice her English skills, fresh from training, fired back, “Hey 50 Cent, hib yo eten?”

Hit Of The Week: ‘On The Floor’

After a multitude of failed singles (everything from Get Right to the atrocious Louboutins), J. Lo finally gets it right with On The Floor, the kind of bootyshaking club-banger that resurrects careers and keeps away the “What ever happened to?” articles. Now, that she finally has a hit again though, how long until the Murder Inc. remix? Everyone knows Jenny from the block and Ja Rule were the Marvin Gaye and Tami Terrell of the early 2000s!

Catfight Of The Week: @Filipinoflash Versus @Chino3nidad

Speaking of punches, has anyone seen a real-life Celebrity Deathmatch episode? It might just happen this week! Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. has been haunted by his domestic problems for so long now we don’t remember when it started. But allegedly, he’s not been giving his parents any part of the earnings he’s been blessed with, because they’re allegedly heavy gamblers. However, in a reality show-like spin, the Donaires have already kissed and made up (complete with a video posted on the boxer’s website) and are now firing back at sports reporters and analysts who wronged them in the public. A Twitter war ensued between Nonito Jr and sports anchor Chino Trinidad, with the boxer challenging him to taste his “sonic boom punch.” Manny Piñol cleverly addresses the assault by posting in his website that “a bullet is faster than a sonic boom punch.” That’s unless you’re Superman, of course.

Showbiz Recruit Of The Week: Belle Daza

This week, beauty queen spawn and Human endorser Belle Daza finally jumped on the showbiz bandwagon, signing a deal with GMA 7 to do a show with Manny Pacman himself. After the showbiz-savvy moves her cousin Georgina Wilson and fellow girl about town Solenn Heusaff have been displaying, it was only a matter of time, really.
