Christian Family Movement holds 'Tipanan' on May 1

MANILA, Philippines – The leadership of the pioneer Catholic family organization in the world, the Christian Family Movement, will make more parishes avail of its services and encourage more families to build homes with them. The Pre-Cana Seminar or the Marriage Orientation, as some parishes call it, was started in the country decades ago by the CFM.

It was also the CFM that brought the Marriage Encounter to the Philippines in 1969. Thousands of couples have had their marriages enriched by their participation in this  program. As an off-shoot of this weekend experience, the CFM also came up with a one-day marriage enrichment called Tipanan.

A Tipanan is scheduled for Friday, May 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at their national office located at the CFM Nazareth Home, N. Domingo Street corner Big Horseshoe Drive, Horseshoe Village in Quezon City (call 724-6747 and 412-2748).

Another program which the founder of the original Marriage Encounter, Fr. Gabriel Calvo of Barcelona, Spain and now of Washington, DC, entrusted to the CFM in the world is the Self-Encounter. A weekend is set also at Nazareth on May 29-31. Individuals who have experienced the program, from ages 18 to 81, certainly developed not only a better understanding of self but also of life’s purpose in community.
