MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has named a former lawmaker as chief of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), which collaborates with Congress to promote the administration’s priority bills.

Former Batangas representative Mark Llandro Mendoza is now the presidential adviser on legislative affairs and PLLO head, the website of the agency showed.

Mendoza represented Batangas’ fourth district for three terms from 2007 to 2016. He served as secretary general of the House of Representatives under former speaker Lord Allan Velasco from November 2020 to July this year.

Other key officials of the PLLO include Undersecretaries Bernardino Sayo and Agapito Guanlao, who have been designated as presidential legislative assistants; Assistant Secretaries Rose Virginie Iñigo and Roberto Martin del Rosario, and Directors Rickee Gerald Brieva and Glenn Albano.

The newly appointed PPLO officials took their oath before Marcos last Tuesday.

Businessman Alejandro Tengco has been appointed chairman and chief executive officer of the state-run gaming firm, a Pagcor statement said. Tengco, owner of Nationstar Development Corp., succeeded Andrea Domingo.

Marcos has also named Juanito Sañosa Jr. as PAGCOR president and chief operating officer and Gilbert Cesar Remulla, Francis Democrito Concordia and Jose Maria Ortega as members of the board of directors.
