The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go joined Sen. Imee Marcos and Davao City mayor-elect Sebastian Duterte in thanking the people of Davao for the overwhelming support they gave president-elect Bongbong Marcos and vice president-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Last Sunday, Sen. Marcos and her team organized a thanksgiving event in Barangays Buhangin Proper and Gov. Vicente Duterte in Davao City to show their appreciation to Davaoeños for trusting the Marcos-Duterte tandem in this year’s elections.

In his short speech, Go expressed his gratitude for the unending support of his fellow Davaoeños towards the Duterte family over the years. He then committed that he will continue to provide much-needed service to the Filipino people.

The senator expressed his hopes that the newly elected officials will be able to fulfill their duties efficiently and successfully for the betterment of the country.

Go said he is confident that the next administration will be able to continue the positive changes and will be able to further improve the current programs and reforms that President Duterte started in order to provide Filipinos with a comfortable life.

The lawmaker likewise expressed that, together with Sen. Marcos and his other colleagues in the Senate, they will work hard to uplift the lives of more Filipinos in need, particularly those who are adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The senator previously appealed to the next country’s leaders to support and develop more programs that would significantly benefit disadvantaged Filipinos.

Go also noted that he will remain focused on helping the government in its pandemic recovery efforts until all Filipinos fully overcome the global health crisis.
