PNP: Marcos inauguration either in Ilocos or Manila

MANILA, Philippines — The inauguration of president-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will be held either in the Ilocos region or Manila, Philippine National Police (PNP) officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said yesterday.

“Yung kay sir Bongbong naman po, I think it will be either in Ilocos or dito po sa area ng Manila,” he said in an interview over dzBB, referring to Marcos by his nickname.

The Marcos bailiwick is Ilocos Norte.

Danao said they are waiting for final word from Marcos’ camp on where they will hold his inauguration.

“We are still finalizing the exact location so we can put in place security measures,” he said.

The inauguration of vice president-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio, meanwhile, will be held in Davao City.
