MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez virtually presented his credentials last April 21 to Samuel Weymouth Tapley Seaton, governor general of The Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

In the bilateral meeting that followed, Romualdez highlighted the need for both countries to explore opportunities for cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, tourism and climate.

He lauded Saint Kitts and Nevis’ strong efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus and its efficient vaccination rollout.

He also thanked the governor general for his government’s efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipinos residing and working on the island.

The Philippines and Saint Kitts and Nevis will celebrate 21 years of diplomatic relations in August.
