3 Philippines companies land in Forbes list

MANILA, Philippines — Three Philippine companies Asia United Bank, Crown Asia Chemicals Corp. and Vivant – made it to Forbes Asia’s 200 Best Under A Billion list.

Asia United Bank, a listed bank chaired by Abraham Co, has a market capitalization of $461 million, according to Forbes and sales of $319 million.

Another company on the list is Vivant Corp., which has a market capitalization of $279 million. Vivant is a power company headed by Dennis Garcia as chairman and Ramontito Garcia as president. Sales amounted to $70 million.

The last is Crown Asia Chemicals, the listed compounds, pipes and roofing company, which has a market capitalization of $24 million. It is chaired by Walter Villanueva. Its sales amounted to $28 million.

Forbes Asia said the 2020 “Best Under A Billion” list recognizes 200 top-performing small and midsized listed companies in the Asia-Pacific region.
