Wilson Lee Flores receives the award from Grace Christian College president James Tan and vice president Judith Tan.
MANILA, Philippines - STAR Lifestyle columnist and Kamuning Bakery Café owner Wilson Lee Flores was recently given the “Maestro Award” by Grace Christian College during its graduation ceremony in Quezon City. He has won a record 13 Catholic Mass Media Awards and three Palanca literary awards.
Lee Flores has committed all profits from the revived 78-year-old Kamuning Bakery to charity, mainly education and the arts.
He encouraged the graduates to pursue nonstop lifelong learning, uphold Christian and Confucian values, work hard and work smart, obey and honor family elders, read more books and not just Facebook, travel a lot, laugh often, seek health and not only wealth, forgive and be always grateful, marry well by using both head and heart, never give up, take risks, be optimistic, dream big and think global.
Formerly known as Grace Christian High School, GCC was founded in 1950 by Julia Lee Tan and American missionaries Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Spahr on land provided by Alfonso SyCip.
