MANILA, Philippines - Presidential aspirant Sen. Grace Poe is scheduled to announce their complete senatorial lineup for the 2016 national elections on Monday, Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero said on Friday.

Escudero, Poe's running mate, said the presidential bet herself have chosen the 12 senatorial aspirants to be included in their ticket.

Poe and Escudero cancelled the announcement of their senatorial slate this week due to typhoon Lando.

"She’s the one who talked with them. I will leave it to her to announce who are the 12 candidates that will be included in the lineup," Escudero said told members of the press.

The independent vice presidential met with youth organizations from schools and business groups in Leyte to discuss their platforms.

Meanwhile, Escudero stressed that his running mate is qualified to run for president despite the disqualification cases filed against her.

Escudero admitted that the disqualification cases against Poe are one of the challenges that she has to face in the upcoming elections.

"It is now the obligation of Senator Poe’s critics to prove that she is not qualified to run as president," Escudero said.

The disqualification cases cite that Poe is not qualified to run as president as she is not a natural-born Filipino and that she did not meet the 10-year residency requirement for the top government position.
