20 party-list groups submit list of nominees

MANILA, Philippines - A total of 20 party-list organizations submitted yesterday the list of their nominees to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the May 9, 2016 elections.

One of them is the Witness Party-list whose nominees are Lt. Col. George Rabusa, Abigail Uyyco, Jose Barredo, Vidal Doble and Marlindo Cruz.

Rabusa is the retired military budget officer who blew the whistle on the so-called “pabaon” for retired generals, while Doble is known to be the source of the so-called “mother of all tapes” in the “Hello, Garci” scandal during the 2004 presidential elections.

The other groups and their nominees are:

• Arts and Business Science Professionals (ABS) – Eugene Michael de Vera, Ulysses Garces, Catalina Lanting, Mary Jazul, Carlito Buentipo

• ACT-CIS – Maria Pagdilao, Benjardi Mantele, Victor Carambas, Robert Arabejo, Johnny Young

• Anakpawis – Ariel Casilao, Rafael Mariano, Randall Echanis, Jose Canlas, Peter Gonzales, Gloria Arellano, Jaime Paglinawan

• COOP NATCO – Anthony Bravo, Sabiniano Canama, Emmanuel Solis Jr., Divina Queme, Edgar Caballeda, Clarita Napoles, Ramil Santos, Rosalino Sumile, Reynaldo Gandionco

• Butil – Cecilia Chavez, Isidro Santos, Wilfredo Antimano, Prodencio Consolacion, Miguel Luma-ang, Leoncio Haber

• MAR – Joventino Diamante, Bintang Jaruni, Antonio Concha, Alberto Diamante, Ruth Pasintabo

• Global Workers –  Ermie Garon, Cicero Villanueva, Emman Quibuyen, Gerald Medina, Erminda Lagman

• Cancer – Dario Lapada, Emerito Rojas, Ryan Uy, Nelia Abrogar, Rhodora Marmito

• 1 Care – Edgardo Masongsong, Salvador Cabaluna III, Janeene Depay-Colingan, Arigido Plaza Jr., Gerry Valdez
