Pinoy hackers attack 60 Chinese websites

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - At least 60 Chinese government and private websites were defaced by Filipino hackers in revenge for China’s aggressive actions in the West Philippine Sea, according to an ABS-CBN resport last night.

Hackers inserted pages on the websites and posted a message which, they said, is part of a campaign dubbed “OpChinaReloaded,” the report said.

The message stated: “China’s alleged claim on maritime territories and oppressive poaching can no longer be tolerated. Stand against oppression! It’s time to fight back! Say no to China’s bullying!”

The hackers claimed they belong to the groups “Anonymous Phillippines,” “Panay Cyber Haxxors,” “Panay Cyber Army,” and “Phantom Hackers PH.”

In 2012, various groups also launched similar attacks. Chinese hackers retaliated and defaced Filipino websites.
