3 dead, 25 hurt in Iligan blast

MANILA, Philippines - At least three persons were killed while 25 others were injured when an explosion hit a crowded bar in Barangay Poblacion, Iligan City last night, police said.

Other reports, however, claimed the number of those killed reached five and those hurt 40, mostly students.

According to ABS-CBN News, the explosion took place at about 7:30 p.m. at El Centro KTV bar at the corner of Roxas and Quezon Avenues in Palau village.   

Chief Inspector Ray Alimanza of Iligan City Police identified two of the fatalities as Janjan Dumalagan and Jay Hangad.
