New mining engineers

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 20 out of 32 examinees have passed the Mining Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Mining Engineering this month in Manila.

The members of the Board of Mining Engineering who gave the licensure examination were Cornelio Casido, chairman; and Rufino Bomasang.

The results were released one day from the last day of examination.

Registration requirements are the following: latest Community Tax Certificate; two pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and nametag), one piece 1x1 picture; six pieces documentary stamp, and one small brown envelope; and to pay the following fees: initial registration fee of P400; and annual registration fee of P300 for 2002-2005. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their professional oath will be held before the Board on Aug. 30, 2002 in Baguio City. For more details, please call PSEM at telephone nos. 634-41-24 or 631-39-40.
