Judicial and Bar Council public panel interviews

The Judicial and Bar Council, which screens nominees to the judiciary and ombudsman, is holding public panel interviews for a new associate justice to replace Associate Justice Samuel Martires, who has been appointed ombudsman.

Candidates for the post are:

• Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez
• Court of Appeals Associate Justice Apolinario Bruselas
• CA Associate Justice Rosmari Carandang
• CA Associate Justice Stephen Cruz

Presiding this morning is CJ Teresita Leonardo-De Castro; in attendance: Ret. SC AJ Jose Catral Mendoza, Atty. Milagros Fernan-Cayosa, and retired RTC Judge Toribio Ilao, Jr.
