‘Not OK’: Angelica Panganiban denies Carlo Aquino’s claims

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban said there is no moving on process for her, but admitted she felt sad with the way things went out for her and former boyfriend Carlo Aquino. 

In an interview with the media after the thanksgiving press conference of his daytime teleserye “Playhouse,” Angelica said: “Walang dapat ipag-move on.” 

“May sadness pero nangyari ‘yon sa araw-araw na buhay ng isang tao. Hindi pwedeng masaya ka palagi,” Angelica added. 

Contrary to Carlo’s statement, Angelica said that she is no longer friends and not on speaking terms with her “My Exes Baggage” co-star.  

“Matagal na rin. Basta matagal na rin,” she said when asked when she stopped communicating with the actor.

It can be recalled that in Boy Abunda’s Pilipino Star Ngayon column, Carlo has been quoted as saying that he and Angelica are still “okay” and were talking to each other.

“As long as okay naman kami ni Angge, speaking terms naman kami, okay na ako doon. Kung ano man ang sinasabi ng mga tao, I don’t feel the need to explain anything. Basta ‘yung mga taong nagmamahal sa akin, ‘yung kilala ako, ‘iyon lang ang importante. Naiintindihan nila ako,” Carlo said.

Nevertheless, Angelica said on her recent “Gandang Gabi Vice” guesting that Carlo betrayed her on their two breaks up back then. When Angelica was asked if it is the same story now, Angelica said: "Ayokong sagutin. Hindi makakatulong sa iba."

Angelica was also asked if Carlo uses him for his own sake. “Mahirap ‘yon sagutin. Kailangan kong pa-analyze yon,” she replied.

The Star Magic artist also added that she does not want to work with Carlo now: “Siguro panahon makakapagsabi. Kung buhay pa siguro ako nun.”

Following the success of their movie “Exes Baggage,” Carlo eventually joined Angelica’s teleserye “Playhouse,” which stirred speculations from fans of a rekindled romance between the two. 

Angelica, however, said in January that she has been staying away from Carlo since negativity from fans has affected their relationship. 

Carlo was also rumored to be dating a model as photos of him and the woman circulated online.
