Luis Manzano says he's preparing for marriage, better future with Jessy

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya host Luis Manzano said he is sure that he wants girlfriend Jessy Mendiola to be his wife but wedding bells won’t be ringing anytime soon as he is still planning for a better future with her. 

During a set visit in ABS-CBN’s new show “World of Dance” by which he is the host, Luis said it is easy to get married but it is important to be financially ready before he builds his own family. 

“Madaling magpakasal, sobrang dali. Pero 'pag nilatag mo na na magkakapamilya kayo, especially ngayon, 'di ba? Be realistic. Okay, fine. Maganda ang buhay natin ng extra amount of years, pero paano 'pag may nangyaring hindi maganda?” he said.  

Luis is confident that Jessy will say “yes” if he decides to ask her to finally tie the knot, adding that the question is not who will propose but when will it happen. 

“Either way naman, kung mag propose siya sa akin magye-yes din ako. So it's a two-way street. Ako naman I'm not saying no, I'm not saying na I'm not sure, you know, I'm sure. It's more of nilalatag ko pa yung future namin,” Luis said. 

“Yun ang mas tamang way to put up [a family]. I'm not saying I'm not sure, I'm not saying there's uncertainty or a question mark, it's more of I want to be able to provide a life na I believe na I and my family deserve,” he added.   

Luis and Jessy will mark their 3rd anniversary in June.
