Morissette gets praises, follow from Little Mix after watching her ‘Secret Love Song’ cover

MANILA, Philippines — Singer Morissette Amon gushed after learning that British girl group Little Mix watched her cover of “Secret Love Song” and one of the members posted it on her Instagram stories.

On Monday, Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall posted clips while they were watching Morissette belting out one of their hits “Secret Love Song.” Morissette’s cover performance was from the Asia Song Festival in Korea in 2017.

In Thirlwall’s Instagram stories, praises from the audience watching her performance were heard.

"Oh, I love her!" one of the audience reacted as Morissette sings.

Thirlwall also wrote “Is @itsmorissette real?!" in her story as she expressed disbelief over Morissette’s voice. She also tagged the Instagram account of the Filipina singer in her other story.

Due to this, Morissette took to Twitter to share how shocked she was after being noticed by the famous girl group.

“DON’T MIND ME, I’M JUST LITERALLY SHOOK AT THE MOMENT,” Morissette wrote.

“Even heard Perrie comment too so they all must be watching! OMG, thank you loads for noticing,” she added, referring to another member, Perrie Edwards.

Little Mix is composed of four members Thirlwall, Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

After getting noticed, Morissette also gushed as she posted a screenshot showing that Thirlwall followed her on Instagram.

Morissette has been covering “Secret Love Song” in her performances.

The video of Morissette’s cover at the Asia Song Festival earned over 68,000 views on YouTube while one of her radio guestings where she sang the Little Mix ballad also gained almost 75,000 views on Youtube. — Rosette Adel
