WATCH: KZ Tandingan reveals plans to release album in China
MANILA, Philippines — Since becoming a contender in the international Chinese singing contest “Singer 2018” where she performed alongside international pop stars Jessie J and Coco Lee, Filipino singer KZ Tandingan has become a celebrity in China, with fans asking for her autograph and taking selfies with her everywhere she went.
Believing that she should “strike the iron while it’s hot,” KZ revealed her plans to record an all-original album in China right after her June concert in the Philippines called “Supreme.”
She said during the recent press conference of her international singing search “Super K Star” that at the moment, she is just busy preparing for her concert, which she had to set aside when she joined “Singer 2018” early this year.
KZ’s manager, Cornerstone Entertainment, has recently partnered with short video platform Kwai to launch the “Super K Star” search, where KZ will become a mentor and judge alongside other Cornerstone artists like Jay R, Kyla and Claudia Barretto.
If successful with an album, KZ will be able to penetrate China’s multimillion-dollar music industry with an estimated audience of over 60 million. — Videos by Kat Leandicho
