Is John Lloyd Cruz leaving showbiz for art?

MANILA, Philippines — On-leave Kapamilya actor John Lloyd Cruz declined a showbiz interview with veteran ABS-CBN reporter Mario Dumaual.

In a video posted by ABS-CBN, John Lloyd can be seen talking with other artists in an art exhibition at UP Vargas Museum. John Lloyd is among the artists featured in the ongoing exhibit “Reinterpreting Vic Delotavo’s Posters for Philippine Cinema.”

Shortly after, Dumaual can be seen in the video as approaching John Lloyd for an interview. But the actor declined, said sorry, and said he is done doing showbiz interviews.  

Mario attempted to interview the controversial actor again, but John Lloyd walked away saying, "Hay naku, I don't wanna deal with that. I'm sorry. Excuse me."

John Lloyd sports a new hairstyle that girlfriend Ellen Adarna cut.

Last October 2017, John Lloyd filed an indefinite leave from ABS-CBN due to personal matters. That was the start of the controversies surrounding John Lloyd and Ellen’s relationship.

Since then, the actor has also began posting his paintings and "artistic" photos and videos on Instagram.
