MANILA, Philippines — Does Dingdong Dantes have political plans? Is Marian Rivera ready to become a politician's wife?
During a recent press con for Dingdong and wife Marian Rivera’s launch as new Cignal ambassadors, the couple was asked these questions and here is what they said.
“I love my family so much. I love my work as an actor. And I also value my career. Ang siguro ang dapat na tanong d’yan, ‘Kailangan ba?' I think that is something that I should answer by myself alone,” Dingdong said.
In earlier press interviews, Marian said she is willing to support her husband’s rumored political ambitions. During the press con, when Marian was asked if she is willing to enter politics as wife of a politician, she quipped: “Huh? Ano ba ‘yang mga tinatanong n’yo sa’kin?"
Dingdong has been rumored to be interested in politics since based on reports, he is studying the same Public Administration course which Batangas Rep. Vilma Santos and Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez reportedly took at the Open University of the University of the Philippines as preparation for their political career.
Dingdong and Marian, also fondly called “DongYan,” have now taken on an even bigger role as they pledge to become the new faces of Cignal Prepaid from pay TV provider Cignal. The contract signing was held last February 26 at Solaire.
