'Tubig at Langis' prod team says Cristine-Vivian incident a 'miscommunication'

Chuck Smith - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines - The team behind the ABS-CBN soap opera "Tubig at Langis" has finally issued a statement regarding the reported rift between its two stars Cristine Reyes and Vivian Velez.

This is after Vivian said in a Facebook post that she is resigning from the ABS-CBN show after being "upset and humiliated" by an actress, which she later revealed to be Cristine.

In an interview with Pep.ph, Vivian said Cristine asked her to leave their shared designated standby area "because she (Cristine) wants it only for her own."

But in a statement sent to media outfits on Tuesday, the production team of "Tubig  at Langis" said Cristine did not ask Vivian to leave their dressing room.

The two, the network added, merely had a miscommunication.

It further said, "Inaako ng production team ang responsibilidad dito."

Here's the full statement of "Tubig at Langis" over the issue:

Cristine is yet to issue a statement regarding the issue.

Reports said Cristine wants to talk to Vivan "to clear the air," according to her older sister Ara Mina.
