Coco Martin: Julia Montes is girlfriend material

Chuck Smith - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines – Coco Martin admits he sees co-star Julia Montes as girlfriend material.

In an interview with ABS-CBN’s showbiz talk show “The Buzz” on Sunday, the actor was asked to choose who he would pick as a girlfriend among his past onscreen partners.

“If you had the power na maging girlfriend ang isa, sino ang pipiliin mo sa kanila?” “The Buzz” co-host Boy Abunda asked Coco.

The actor replied: “Si Julia (Montes) siguro.”

But Coco said he’s not yet in a relationship with the actress. The two were rumored to be a couple after working in the soap opera “Walang Hanggan,” but they have constantly denied the rumor.

Coco and Julia star in the ABS-CBN weekend mini-series “Yamashita’s Treasure.”

“Hindi siguro yun yung focus and mindset ko ngayon, e,” Coco said on why he’s not in a relationship right now. “Pero if ever lang talaga, if magkakaroon ako ng chance na ... Alam ko kasing hindi ko mapapanindigan.”

He added, “Yun yung worry ko.

Coco stars with Toni Gonzaga in the Star Cinema romantic-comedy “You’re My Boss,” which will open in theaters on April 4.
