Sachzna Laparan reveals past relationship with McCoy de Leon

MANILA, Philippines — Actress and social media personality Sachzna Laparan revealed that she previously had a relationship with actor McCoy de Leon, with whom she reconnected after his stint on “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB).

The revelation came during Sachzna’s guest appearance on DJ Jhaiho’s “Banana Krew” program on 92.3 FMR Manila, where she talked about her upcoming horror movie “VHZ,” which also stars McCoy and actress Sarah Lahbati.

When Sachzna mentioned McCoy’s name, Jhaiho suddenly burst into laughter, prompting the actress to ask what was so funny.

“May naalala kasi ako. Those were the days. Tama, di ba? Alam ba sa mga tao?” the host said.

Sachzna replied that while some people knew about their history, not everyone was aware of it.

“For the context, baka sabihin nila bakit tayo natawa. Natawa ako kasi nga ang mga kasama niya ay sina McCoy na kung saan ay…” Jhaiho said, prompting Sachzna to finish his sentence.

“Naging ex ko. Ex ko siya… Bata pa kami noon. Bata pa ako noon,” the actress admitted.

Sachzna recalled that she and McCoy became close while she was studying at Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) and the actor was attending Mapúa University.

She also revealed that they reconnected after McCoy’s stint on “PBB,” although their relationship did not progress further.

“After ng PBB niya, nanligaw pa ulit siya sa akin, hindi naman nanligaw, nagkaroon kami ng parang connection ulit, pero hindi na talaga nag-work out. Wala na talaga,” she said.

Her revelation prompted Jhaiho to ask whether McCoy was still with his former partner, actress Elisse Joson, at the time.

“Hoy, nakakaloka ‘yung revelation. After PBB, so ang eksena, sabay kayo ni Elisse?” the host asked.

Sachzna clarified that she did not know the circumstances surrounding McCoy and Elisse’s relationship at the time.

“Huh? Hindi ko alam. Baka hindi naman. Baka naghiwalay sila or what, pero hindi ko talaga alam!” she said.

The actress even jokingly asked for the exchange to be edited out of the program.

“Oh my God! Puwede ba, alisin n’yo ito, i-cut n’yo ito. Pero after talaga no’ng PBB niya, nag-usap talaga ulit kami,” she added.

Jhaiho then called on McCoy to clarify the matter, saying, “Hoy, McCoy, linawin mo ’to.”

Sachzna reiterated that she and McCoy had communicated after his “PBB” stint but stressed that their renewed connection did not work out.
