The Karylle-Christian magic sparks anew in Cinderella

MANILA, Philippines - Christian Bautista and Karylle will spread love and magic in Resorts World Manila’s staging of Cinderella, which goes onstage from October to December at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.

“We have been through a lot,” replies Karylle when asked about her relationship with Christian. “It is always a pleasure working with him.”

Five years ago, Christian and Karylle were cast in the local production of West Side Story. They exhibited onstage chemistry making them one of the most exciting stage team-ups in the country.

Only weeks after the closing of the show, Karylle made a bold move when she transferred to ABS-CBN and Christian was instantly paired with the new Kapamilya in ASAP and in the special Valentine episode of Your Song that year.

Their team-up was given international flavor when they topbilled the Pan-American musical series The Kitchen Musical, which received accolades from international award-giving bodies.

Christian and Karylle also headlined the concert Love & Laughter, and concert tours in the US.

Just last year, the tandem was asked to play lead roles in the Ballet musical revival Rama Hari.
