’80s teen icons in Tunay Na Buhay

MANILA, Philippines - Tonight after Kapuso Movie Nights, ’80s teen icons Sheryl Cruz and Tina Paner share their life stories on GMA 7’s Tunay Na Buhay.

As the eldest child of movie stars Rosemarie Sonora and Ricky Belmonte, Sheryl was exposed to showbiz life at a young age. At six, she already starred in her first movie Candy. Later on, she became part of the group, Triplets,  along with Manilyn Reynes and Tina. Her love team with Romnick Sarmenta was one of the most popular love teams of their generation. She bowed out of the limelight when she got married and lived in the States, but she became the talk of the town once again when news of her separation from her husband reached local shores. Sheryl is now a single mom to her only child and a loving friend to the many mothers of a support group she’s involved in. How is she doing now?

At nine years old, Tina recorded an album and had a hit song called Sana. The daughter of popular basketball player Manny Paner and movie actress Daisy Romualdez, Tina was seen in the movies Sinasamba Kita, Batang Quiapo and Sana Maulit Muli. Join Rhea Santos as she talks to Tina who has just come home after living in Spain for several years, to raise her only daughter in the Philippines.
