Shop for a cause at Noel Bazaar

MANILA, Philippines - What can be a more enjoying and fulfilling shopping experience this Yuletide season, but to get hard-to-find gift items at rock-bottom prices, and at the same time share your blessings with the less fortunate.

You can do both at the Noel Discovery Bazaar, the Bazaar With A Heart, which opened recently at the PICC Forum Tent in Pasay City.

GMA Kapuso Foundation COO and anchor Mel Tiangco and PDI president Sandy Prieto-Romualdez opened the 10-day fair in a program emceed by Unang Hirit host Luanne Dy.

Kylie Padilla and Kyla livened up the show with their renditions of well-loved Christmas songs, while Ogie Alcasid led the launch of the Ogie and Regineís Celebrity Ukay Ukay, which offers quality used items, toys and assorted knick knacks by Kapuso stars and celebrities, sold at bargain prices.

Proceeds will go to the GMA Kapuso Foundation, which helps in the construction of classrooms and supports educational and basic services of depressed communities.

With special events such as fashion shows, cooking demonstrations and daily entertainment numbers from GMA stars, it will be another unique and enjoyable experience for holiday shoppers and the whole family.

The annual Christmas fair is the countryís biggest which is now on its 11th year.

Part of the proceeds will go to Bantayog ng mg Bayani and Associate Missionaries of Assumption Foundations, Sts. Peter and John Parish, and the Noel P. Gozon Memorial Clinic in Malabon City.

Noel Bazaar runs till Dec. 18, with the third part set on Dec. 21 to 23 at the World Trade Center for your last-minute shopping rush.
