Jackie Enrile ready to 'tell all'

Curtain-raisers:

• The lovebirds (an actor/TV-host and a radio-/TV-host) must have kissed and made up in the wake of rumors that they have called it quits. They recently took a vacation in Bangkok traveling economy class. According to Funfare Update’s “flying-high DPA,” the couple was sweet to each other, with the guy carrying all their bags and, during the meal service, he slept on her shoulder. So what happened to the flight attendant linked to the guy?

• Is the wife of an international celebrity seriously contemplating on having their marriage annulled? A Funfare Update “legally-aware DPA” said that she has been consulting a lawyer specializing in annulment. Sad! Are they helpless in sorting out the current domestic problem tearing them apart? Or has the wife finally found an evidence of her husband’s alleged infidelity?

• A pretty young actress admitted to a friend of Funfare Update that, yes, she and her ex(?)-radio/TV-host-boyfriend did live together for two months and that she found him “very scary” and “very controlling,” comparing him to Adolf Hitler. The poor guy is so lovelorn that he can’t stop sulking, wallowing in self-pity.

Rep. Jackie Enrile (first district of Cagayan) has assured his friend-PRO Jobert Sucaldito that he (Jackie) is ready to face the entertainment press (said to be more “investigative” than the so-called “legit” press) and “tell all” in a presscon set for next week.

“You can ask him anything,” said Jobert, “and he will answer everything.” That is, including the years-old “mystery” surrounding the death of Regal Baby Alfie Anido in the early ‘80s. The case was declared a “suicide.”

In fact, when Jackie met the female press corps at the Bulong-Pulungan recently, he was asked about that and Jackie answered very simply, “I have nothing to do with it.”

Jackie is the son of Sen. Johnny Ponce-Enrile and former Ambassador to the Vatican Cristina Castaner-Ponce Enrile, and the nephew of Armida “Tita Midz” Siguion-Reyna.

He initially stayed away from politics until he realized that he couldn’t keep running away from it for long.

“He has learned to enjoy serving his constituents,” said Jobert.

Asked if Jackie is aspiring for a higher (national) position, Jobert said, “Ask him during the presscon.”

Incidentally, Jackie is a major presenter of the TWOgether As One concert of Prima Diva Billy and Laarni Lozada at Zirkoh (Tomas Morato, Quezon City) on Dec. 7.

2011 Miss Casino Filipino Catrine Rosary ‘Rei’ Ocampo

Jackie told Jobert that he (Jackie) is not a singer but he has an ear for music.

“He’s a supporter of the entertainment industry,” added Jobert.

• Currently in Germany competing with more than 50 beauties in the 2011 Queen of the World search is Catrine Rosary “Rei” Ocampo who was crowned Miss Casino Filipino (the first ever) last September at the PAGCOR Theater in Parañaque City.

The 5’9” stunner is a UST B.S. Travel Management junior whose advocacy is “providing basic and quality education to the disadvantaged youth.” Before her reign ends, Catrine will turn over P300,000 worth of donation (computers and other educational tools) to the Unang Lingap Kapwa Inc., her chosen beneficiary.

The Queen of the World grand finals will be held in Berlin on Dec. 3.

• Epifania S. Simbul, M.D., FPPS and CEO VI of the National Children’s Hospital (NCH) is thanking those who watched the recent birthday concert of Vina Morales (at Republiq Club, Resorts World) that raised more than P1M (cash) for the NCH. P100,000 worth of products from company sponsors were also donated to the hospital.
