NU 107 goes green

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - In the spirit of going green for Earth Day, model Isabel Roces and director of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Jason Baker will guest today at 12 noon on NU 107 to talk about their passion for saving animals and encourage everyone to go vegetarian. They will discuss their favorite meatless foods in Manila on Magazine Show.

Isabel is vice president of PMAP (Professional Models Association of the Philippines) and for the past 10 years has been walking the runway, dominating print materials and  TV commercials.  Having been a vegetarian since she was in high school, her love for animals has caught the attention of PETA and together they have launched several successful international campaigns.

Jason moved to Asia from his Michigan home in 2003 to set up the PETA Asia-Pacific office, continuing the crusade against animal cruelty that he has been doing in the US.  He has spearheaded many of PETA’s victories, including persuading then Vice President Al Gore to eliminate the use of animals in the government’s chemical testing program.  Jason divides his time between Hong Kong and Manila and is always in a quest to find new vegetarian haunts around the world.

Tune in and get a chance to win prizes from PETA. They will also be giving away free Vegetarian Starter Kits at the NU 107 station located at the ground floor of AIC Gold Tower, Emerald Ave. Ortigas.

The Magazine Show is hosted by lifestyle photographer/free-surfer for Aloha Boardsports Mark Dimalanta and model/writer Raya Mananquil every Saturday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. You can watch their interviews live on streaming webcast www.nu107fm.com
