Woman drowns on Ilocos beach

TUGUEGARAO, Philippines —  A woman who was suffering from epilepsy drowned as she was swimming in Santiago, Ilocos Sur on Saturday night.

The body of Mylene Corpuz, 43, was recovered at around 6:30 p.m. on a beach in Barangay Ambucay.

Corpuz was declared dead on arrival at the Candon General Hospital.
