Leylam FC scores twinkill in Aboitiz football
CEBU, Philippines - Leylam Football Club scored a back-to-back victories in the under-18 division of the 17th Aboitiz Football Club at the Cebu City Sports Center yesterday.
After playing mercilessly against Benthel Asia, Leylam pulled off another lopsided victory at the expense of Real Galaxy, 5-2. Shanden Vergara and Aldrich Pelanio led Leylam’s charge with five goals combined.
Leylam meets defending champion Don Bosco Technology Center today for its last elimination round assignment.
Meanwhile, University of Southern Philippines Foundation won by default against Colegio dela Inmaculada-Mandaue. A double default for Benthel and SRFC also took place in the under-13 division while Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu silenced Tabor Hills, 3-0. Warshockz annihilate BMALV,11-0.
Over at Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu field, St.Theresa's College posted a 3-0 win against the Mactan Spartans in the under-15 class. STC also beat SAIS Gannet, 3-0 in the girls under-18, while
Cebu International School girls went away with a 5-0 win against Tayud.
At San Roque Parish' football field, Paref-Springdale grabbed an 8-1 win over Alegria while USC dumped the Guardian Strikers, 9-0 and SHS-AdC ending with a 7-0 triumph over SAIS. Dynamo FC surprised Abellana National School-Pomeroy, 2-0 in the boys 15 class. (FREEMAN)
