3T to join inaugural Phoenix footrace

CEBU, Philippines - Close to 3,000 fitness buffs are all set to flex their athletic muscles in the first ever "Phoenix Run: A Run for St. Candida” tomorrow at The Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

Aside from the elite and regular runners, hundreds of entries coming from event host Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Jesus will also join.

The race features 10K, 5K, 3K and 1K categories. A special 100m run has been included for kids.

The Phoenix Run is among the highlights of the centennial celebration of SHS-Hijas de Jesus. It also serves as the school's tribute to its foundress, St. Candida Maria de Jesus. (FREEMAN)
